This halal meatballs pasta casserole is a hearty, cheesy baked dish with tender pasta, flavorful beef meatballs, and rich marinara sauce—perfect for a comforting high-protein meal.


Ingredients

  • Meatballs:
  • 1 lb halal ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan (halal-certified)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • Casserole:
  • 2 cups uncooked penne pasta
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (halal-certified)
  • 2 cups halal beef broth
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (halal-certified)
  • Garnish: Fresh basil


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Mix meatball ingredients and form into 16 meatballs.
  3. In baking dish, combine pasta, marinara, broth, and seasonings.
  4. Place meatballs into mixture, pressing slightly to submerge.
  5. Cover with foil and bake 35–45 minutes until pasta is tender.
  6. Remove foil, stir gently, and check pasta doneness.
  7. Top with mozzarella cheese and bake uncovered 5–10 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.
