Ingredients
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 ¾ cups whole white mushrooms, washed and dried
- ¼ cup cream cheese, cut into small cubes
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp dried ground oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- ½ tbsp fresh chopped parsley
Instructions
- Heat a large 12-inch frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the butter, olive oil, minced garlic, and mushrooms.
- Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender.
- Reduce the heat to medium and add the cream cheese. Cook, stirring, until the cream cheese has completely melted.
- Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the Parmesan cheese, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring often, until the sauce is creamy and the mushrooms are well coated.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley.
- Serve warm as a side dish or alongside your favorite main course.
