Description

Cheeseburger Tortilla Melts are a fast, cheesy skillet meal made with crispy flour tortillas, richly browned ground beef, melted cheese, shredded lettuce, and a creamy burger-style sauce. They bring all the best cheeseburger flavors into a quick lunch or dinner that is easy to make and best served fresh.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil (if needed)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped pickles or relish
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon pickle juice or white vinegar
  • 4 small flour tortillas
  • 4 slices American cheese or cheddar-style burger cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups iceberg lettuce, finely shredded
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil (for toasting)
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickles, garlic powder, paprika, and pickle juice to make the burger sauce.
  2. Chill sauce in the fridge while preparing other ingredients.
  3. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crumbled.
  4. Drain excess grease, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Cook 1–2 more minutes until thick and coated.
  6. Warm tortillas in a skillet with butter or oil until soft and lightly golden.
  7. Toast slightly longer for crisp edges.
  8. Spread beef mixture on each tortilla and top with cheese.
  9. Add shredded lettuce and drizzle burger sauce over top.
  10. Serve immediately while warm and crispy.

Notes

  • Use 80/20 beef for best flavor.
  • Let beef brown well for richer taste.
  • Finely shredded lettuce works best for texture.
  • American cheese melts smoothly.
  • Add sauce just before serving to keep tortillas crisp.
  • Beef and sauce can be prepped ahead.
  • Add hot sauce or jalapeños for extra heat.
