Description

This easy Blender Salsa delivers restaurant-style flavor in just 5 minutes using simple pantry ingredients. Fresh, zesty, and perfectly textured, it’s ideal for dipping or topping your favorite Mexican dishes.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • ¼ small red onion, coarsely chopped
  • ¼ cup cilantro
  • 1 lime, zested and juiced
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Add tomatoes, onion, cilantro, lime zest and juice, jalapeño, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper to a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend or pulse until ingredients are combined and reach your desired texture.
  3. Do not overblend to keep the salsa chunky.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Notes

  • Use reduced-sodium canned tomatoes for better salt control.
  • For fresh tomatoes, remove seeds and excess liquid first.
  • Adjust spice level by adding more or less jalapeño.
  • Perfect with tortilla chips, tacos, or burrito bowls.
