Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14 ounces) beef broth
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped green and red bell peppers, onion, and garlic to the pot. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes with their juice, tomato sauce, and beef broth. Mix well to combine the flavors.
- Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 30 minutes to blend all the flavors.
- Add the cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Taste the soup and adjust seasoning if necessary. Remove from heat when desired consistency is reached.
