Description

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 count) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam or preserves
  • Oil for frying
  • Optional: additional powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth for filling.
  2. Flatten each biscuit dough round to 1/4-inch thickness.
  3. Spoon strawberry jam onto center of each round. Pipe cream cheese mixture over jam, covering it.
  4. Fold dough over filling into a half-moon and pinch edges to seal.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry donuts 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
  6. Drain on paper towels. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
