Ingredients
For the Steak:
- 2 sirloin or ribeye steaks (halal)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp butter (for searing)
For the Cajun Shrimp:
- ½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp chopped bell peppers (red & green)
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
For the Cheesy Jumbo Potato:
- 2 large russet potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Potatoes: Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Scrub the russet potatoes clean, pierce them with a fork, and bake for 45–60 minutes until soft inside.
- Cook the Steak: Pat steaks dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add steaks, and sear 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Add butter and baste the steak before removing from heat. Let rest.
- Make the Cajun Shrimp: In the same pan, heat olive oil and butter. Add minced garlic and chopped bell peppers; sauté for 1 minute. Add shrimp and Cajun seasoning. Cook 2–3 minutes per side, squeeze lemon juice, then remove from heat.
- Prepare the Cheesy Potato Filling: Once potatoes are cool enough to handle, slice them open and scoop out the insides into a bowl. Mash with butter, milk, and cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Assemble: Fill each potato shell with the cheesy mixture, top with sliced steak and Cajun shrimp. Garnish with chopped parsley and extra melted cheese if desired.
- Serve & Enjoy! Serve hot with a drizzle of garlic butter or steak sauce for a restaurant-style finish.
Notes
- For extra flavor, use homemade Cajun seasoning or add chili flakes for spice.
- Swap cheddar with mozzarella or pepper jack for a different twist.
- To make it lighter, replace butter with olive oil and reduce cheese by half.
