Description

This Southern Surf-and-Steak Alfredo Plate brings the best of land and sea together: tender Cajun-seasoned sirloin, buttery garlic shrimp, and rich, creamy Alfredo pasta. It’s a comforting and indulgent dinner built for serious flavor lovers.

Ingredients

    • For the Steak
    • 1/2 lb sirloin steak
    • Salt & black pepper, to taste
    • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
    • 1 tbsp butter

    • For the Shrimp (Surf)
    • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
    • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    • 1 tbsp butter

    • For the Alfredo Pasta
    • 8 oz fettuccine
    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • 1/2 tsp paprika
    • Salt, to taste
    • 2 tbsp chopped parsley

  • Optional Toppings
  • Extra Parmesan
  • Crushed red pepper
  • Sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Steak: Season the sirloin with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with 1 tbsp butter. Sear steak 3–4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Let rest, then slice.
  3. Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter. Add shrimp, Cajun seasoning, and garlic powder. Cook 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove from heat.
  4. Make the Alfredo Sauce: In a clean pan, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add minced garlic and sauté 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and let simmer 2–3 minutes. Stir in Parmesan, black pepper, paprika, and salt to taste.
  5. Combine: Add cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss until fully coated. Stir in chopped parsley.
  6. Assemble: Plate the Alfredo pasta, then top with sliced Cajun steak and buttery shrimp.
  7. Add optional toppings like extra Parmesan, crushed red pepper, or green onions. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Swap fettuccine for linguine or penne if preferred.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the Alfredo for extra richness.
  • Use smoked paprika for deeper flavor.
