Description

Sausage Ricotta Honey Hot Pizza is a bold and irresistible combo of spicy Italian sausage, creamy ricotta, and hot honey on a crispy golden crust—perfect for a gourmet pizza night at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 ball pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or crushed San Marzano tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked spicy Italian sausage, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Hot honey, for drizzling
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
  2. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface to desired thickness.
  3. Transfer dough to a parchment-lined peel or baking sheet.
  4. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the base.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella, scatter crumbled sausage, and spoon dollops of ricotta. Add red pepper flakes if using.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil and transfer to hot stone or baking sheet.
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes until crust is golden and cheese bubbles.
  8. Remove from oven, drizzle with hot honey, add basil if desired, slice, and serve.
