Description
This Peanut Sauce combines creamy peanut butter with soy sauce, lime, sweetness, and a hint of spiciness. Inspired by Southeast Asian flavors, it’s perfect for bowls, salads, skewers, and noodles. No cooking required.
Ingredients
- ½ cup peanut butter
- ⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
- 3–4 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar or maple syrup
- 1–2 teaspoons sriracha sauce or hot sauce
- 1 small clove garlic, grated
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a blender: peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, sriracha, garlic, and ginger.
- Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust lime juice or sugar as desired.
- Optional: Mix by hand in a bowl using a whisk if preferred; texture will be less smooth.
- Use immediately or store as described below.
Notes
- Make ahead: Up to a week in the fridge in an airtight jar.
- Stir in water or a squeeze of lime if sauce thickens.
- Freezing not recommended.
