Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (for drizzling)


Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  2. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until well combined and glossy.
  3. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix gently with a spatula until the dough is thick and fudgy.
  4. If possible, chill the dough for 30 minutes to help the cookies hold their shape.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop the dough into tablespoon-sized balls, place 2 inches apart, and flatten slightly.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set but centers look slightly soft.
  8. Cool completely.
  9. Melt white chocolate chips in 20-second microwave intervals, stirring until smooth.
  10. Drizzle melted white chocolate over cookies in zig-zag lines. Let set before storing.

Notes

  • Chilling the dough improves texture but is optional.
  • Use dark chocolate chips instead of white chocolate for a richer flavor.
