Description

Ingredients
- 200 grams granulated sugar
- 30 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
- 32 grams all-purpose flour
- 1 gram fine sea salt
- 3 large egg yolks
- 480 millilitres whole milk
- 5 millilitres pure vanilla extract
- 28 grams unsalted butter
- 1 pre-baked 23-centimetre pie crust
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, flour, and salt.
- Add egg yolks and milk, whisking until smooth and fully combined.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens into a custard.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and butter until melted.
- Pour the hot chocolate filling into the pre-baked pie crust.
- Allow the pie to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until fully set.
- Slice and serve chilled.
