Description

Mediterranean Chicken Patties are herb-packed, flavorful patties with a touch of citrus, perfect with tzatziki, Greek yogurt sauce, or wrapped in warm pita.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, red onion, garlic, parsley, mint, and oregano.
  2. Add lemon zest, egg, breadcrumbs, and feta (if using). Season with salt and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Divide mixture into 6–8 patties, about 1/2-inch thick.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Work in batches if needed to avoid crowding the skillet.
  7. Serve warm with tzatziki, Greek yogurt sauce, salad, or pita.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the patties to keep them tender.
  • Use fresh herbs for best flavor.
