- 3/4 cup brown sugar

- 2 eggs
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Streusel Topping:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin.
- Whisk together dry ingredients for the batter: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, maple syrup, buttermilk, eggs, and melted butter; whisk until smooth.
- Fold wet ingredients into dry mixture until just combined, then stir in chopped pecans.
- For the streusel, mix flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter until crumbly. Fold in additional pecans.
- Divide batter into muffin cups and top with streusel.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool muffins in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
