Ingredients

  • 1 (4–6 lb) bone-in or boneless turkey breast
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken or turkey broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ onion, sliced
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped


Instructions

  1. Pat the turkey breast dry and rub with olive oil and melted butter.
  2. Mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, sage, and lemon zest.
  3. Season the turkey breast generously on all sides.
  4. Place the sliced onion, celery, carrot, and minced garlic in the bottom of the crockpot.
  5. Pour in the broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Place the turkey breast on top, skin side up.
  7. Cover and cook on LOW for 5–7 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
  8. Optional: Broil the turkey breast for 5–8 minutes to crisp the skin.
  9. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
