Description
This juicy crockpot turkey breast is incredibly tender, flavorful, and effortless. Perfect for holidays or simple weeknight dinners!
Ingredients
- 1 (4–6 lb) bone-in or boneless turkey breast
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried sage (optional)
- ½ teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken or turkey broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ onion, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 carrot, chopped
Instructions
- Pat the turkey breast dry and rub with olive oil and melted butter.
- Mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, sage, and lemon zest.
- Season the turkey breast generously on all sides.
- Place the sliced onion, celery, carrot, and minced garlic in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Pour in the broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Place the turkey breast on top, skin side up.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5–7 hours, or until internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
- Optional: Broil the turkey breast for 5–8 minutes to crisp the skin.
- Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
