Description

This garlic butter steak bites recipe uses juicy sirloin steak cut into cubes that are pan seared and ready in just 20 minutes. They’re paired with a simple garlic butter sauce!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds sirloin steak (or ribeye, strip steak, or another tender well-marbled cut)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter (½ stick), divided
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Take the steak out of the fridge and let it warm up for about 30 minutes if possible.
  2. Cut the steak into 1-inch cubes and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Add olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter to a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add steak in a single layer (cook in batches if needed). Cook for about 2 minutes per side for medium doneness. Transfer cooked steak to a plate.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low and add remaining butter and garlic to the pan. Cook, stirring constantly, for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (do not brown).
  5. Remove from heat, return steak and juices to the pan, and toss to coat in garlic butter.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Serves 4–6 as an appetizer or 2–4 as a main course.
  • Do not overcook the steak or it will become tough.
  • A cast iron skillet works best for achieving a good sear.
