Description
Tender, juicy chicken bathed in a rich garlic butter sauce with a splash of wine for extra flavor. This easy stovetop chicken recipe is ready in just 15 minutes and is sure to become a family favorite.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 ½ pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded to an even thickness
- 1–2 teaspoons 21 Salute seasoning or poultry seasoning
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
- ½ cup white wine or chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon garlic, finely minced
- 2 teaspoons fresh parsley, optional (for garnish)
Instructions
- Add olive oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and season evenly with seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook undisturbed for 5 minutes to sear.
- Flip chicken and cook another 5 minutes, or until cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Carefully deglaze the skillet with wine or broth, allowing it to bubble and steam for a few seconds.
- Add butter and stir continuously until melted, about 1 minute.
- Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Turn off heat, return chicken to skillet, coat with sauce, and spoon sauce over the top.
- Garnish with parsley if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
- Wine: White wine adds the best flavor, but chicken broth works well if preferred.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 4 months.
