Description

This Garlic Butter Beef Pasta is a quick and comforting dinner that’s packed with flavor. Juicy ground beef is cooked with garlic and tossed with pasta in a rich, buttery sauce, then finished with Parmesan and fresh herbs. Perfect for busy weeknights and ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 12 oz (340 g) pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or penne)
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) beef broth
  • ½ cup (120 ml) heavy cream
  • ½ cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess grease and set beef aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt remaining 2 tbsp butter. Add onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in beef broth and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan until creamy.
  6. Return beef to the skillet and mix well.
  7. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat. Use reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  8. Stir in parsley, taste, and adjust seasoning. Garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter version.
  • Add mushrooms or spinach for extra veggies.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes to control the heat.
