Ingredients
- 3 filets de poulet (≈ 680 g / 1.5 lb), trimmed and halved if thick
- 5 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, whole
- 1 large onion, sliced (≈ 1 cup)
- 1/2 cup water or hot broth (≈ 120 ml)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (≈ 120 ml)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (≈ 15 g)
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (≈ 1/2 lemon)
- 2 tbsp butter (≈ 20 g)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (≈ 30 ml)
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onion and whole garlic cloves; sauté until tender.
- Add chicken filets and brown on both sides.
- Add water or hot broth, cover, and simmer 10 minutes.
- Remove lid; stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, parsley, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
- Cook an additional 5 minutes until sauce slightly thickens.
- Serve hot with rice or sautéed vegetables.
