Ingredients

  • 3 filets de poulet (≈ 680 g / 1.5 lb), trimmed and halved if thick
  • 5 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, whole
  • 1 large onion, sliced (≈ 1 cup)

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (≈ 1/2 lemon)
  • 2 tbsp butter (≈ 20 g)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (≈ 30 ml)
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  1. Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onion and whole garlic cloves; sauté until tender.
  3. Add chicken filets and brown on both sides.
  4. Add water or hot broth, cover, and simmer 10 minutes.
  5. Remove lid; stir in heavy cream, lemon juice, parsley, nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
