Ingredients
- 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 12 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Season steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add heavy cream and milk, stirring constantly. Stir in Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until sauce thickens.
- Add cooked pasta and steak back to the skillet and toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
- Add reserved pasta water if the sauce becomes too thick.
- Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
