Description

Creamy Parmesan Beef Linguine with Garlic Butter Sauce is a luscious pasta dish featuring tender ground beef, rich garlic butter cream sauce, and perfectly cooked linguine. Ideal for weeknight dinners or a decadent dinner party.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or thyme, chopped (optional)
  • ½ cup reserved pasta water (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup pasta water.
  2. Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté garlic and onion until fragrant and translucent.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes if using. Simmer 4–5 minutes until sauce thickens.
  5. Add cooked linguine to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley or thyme and serve immediately, optionally topping with extra parmesan and black pepper.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated parmesan for the smoothest, richest sauce.
  • Save pasta water for thinning out sauce without losing flavor.
  • For extra veggies, sauté mushrooms or spinach along with the onions.
