Ingredients

  • 113 g unsalted butter, melted
  • 120 g all-purpose flour
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 240 ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 100 g light brown sugar, packed
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 50 g chopped walnuts or pecans
  • Optional: 85 g chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Pour batter into prepared baking dish.
  5. Arrange sliced bananas evenly over the batter.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and optional nuts or chocolate chips, then sprinkle over the top.
  7. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden and set.
  8. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
