Description

Delicious chocolate chip pancakes perfect for starting your day.


Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • Butter for greasing


Instructions

  1. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar into a large bowl. Stir in chocolate chips.
  2. In another bowl, whisk egg, vanilla, milk, and melted butter.
  3. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and whisk just until combined.
  4. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and grease with butter.
  5. Pour 1/3 cup batter per pancake. Cook 2–3 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook 1–2 minutes more.
  6. Repeat with remaining batter and serve warm.

Notes

  • Do not overmix for fluffy pancakes.
  • Cooking times may vary depending on heat.
  • Use any type of chocolate chips or add nuts if desired.
