Delicious chocolate chip pancakes perfect for starting your day.
Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- Butter for greasing
Instructions
- Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar into a large bowl. Stir in chocolate chips.
- In another bowl, whisk egg, vanilla, milk, and melted butter.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and whisk just until combined.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and grease with butter.
- Pour 1/3 cup batter per pancake. Cook 2–3 minutes until bubbles form, then flip and cook 1–2 minutes more.
- Repeat with remaining batter and serve warm.
Notes
- Do not overmix for fluffy pancakes.
- Cooking times may vary depending on heat.
- Use any type of chocolate chips or add nuts if desired.
