Description

Bang Bang Chicken Sliders are a bold and flavorful appetizer made with crispy panko-coated chicken tossed in a creamy, spicy bang bang sauce. Served on soft slider buns with fresh greens, these sliders deliver the perfect balance of crunch, heat, and creaminess—ideal for parties or quick weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • Chicken and Coating
  • 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced or shredded
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (or gluten-free alternative)
  • ½ cup buttermilk or egg wash
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Bang Bang Sauce
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 12 tbsp sriracha, to taste
  • Assembly
  • 8 soft slider buns
  • Leafy greens (lettuce or spinach)
  • Optional: pickled vegetables or cucumbers
  • Optional: cheese slices (pepper jack or mozzarella)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil in a skillet for frying.
  2. Cut chicken into slider-sized pieces and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip chicken into buttermilk or egg wash, then coat thoroughly with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Bake for about 20 minutes or fry until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha until smooth.
  6. Lightly toast slider buns.
  7. Spread bang bang sauce on buns, add crispy chicken, greens, and optional toppings.
  8. Close with top buns and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the pan when frying to maintain crispiness.
  • Prepare the sauce ahead of time for deeper flavor.
  • Adjust sriracha gradually to control heat level.
  • Lightly toasting buns helps prevent sogginess.
