Description
These baked BBQ chicken wings are crispy, sticky, and full of flavor, served with warm baked beans and a refreshing sweet onion salad. An easy and satisfying comfort-style meal perfect for any night.
Ingredients
- Wings:
- 8 chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- BBQ Sauce:
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
- Baked Beans:
- 1 cup canned baked beans
- 1/2 small onion, finely diced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sweet Onion Salad:
- 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss wings with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bake on a lined sheet for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Mix BBQ sauce, honey, and chili flakes. Brush over wings during the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Sauté onion for baked beans until soft. Add beans, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5–7 minutes.
- Combine red onion, tomatoes, vinegar, olive oil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Rest 5–10 minutes, then garnish with parsley.
- Serve wings with baked beans and sweet onion salad. Add extra BBQ sauce if desired.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil wings for 2–3 minutes at the end.
- You can swap honey for maple syrup in the BBQ sauce.
