Description

These baked BBQ chicken wings are crispy, sticky, and full of flavor, served with warm baked beans and a refreshing sweet onion salad. An easy and satisfying comfort-style meal perfect for any night.


Ingredients

  • Wings:
  • 8 chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • BBQ Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • Baked Beans:
  • 1 cup canned baked beans
  • 1/2 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sweet Onion Salad:
  • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss wings with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Bake on a lined sheet for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway.
  2. Mix BBQ sauce, honey, and chili flakes. Brush over wings during the last 5 minutes of baking.
  3. Sauté onion for baked beans until soft. Add beans, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5–7 minutes.
  4. Combine red onion, tomatoes, vinegar, olive oil, sugar, salt, and pepper. Rest 5–10 minutes, then garnish with parsley.
  5. Serve wings with baked beans and sweet onion salad. Add extra BBQ sauce if desired.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil wings for 2–3 minutes at the end.
  • You can swap honey for maple syrup in the BBQ sauce.
